Burger & Lobster – I will take 2, please!

Boy oh Boy ….. where does one start with such hospitality! Ricardo, the most amazing manager of Burger & Lobster which is located in the Ploenchit area of Bangkok, a very central location across from the Erawan Shrine, BTS Chidlom.

I was at Burger & Lobster several weeks ago with an ex-pat group of friends and I had the spicy beef burger. This time I was out shopping around when a friend of mine and I decided to stop in and check out the famous beef burgers. Ricardo remembered who I was, therefore, got a chance to sneak in a good review of the place.

Home and Away – most popular cocktail

First served with a signature cocktail called Home and Away, it was a very different cocktail, vodka blended with passion fruit, ginger, cucumber and a hint of chili that hits you at the end! Definitely worth the taste!

Sangria – loaded with fresh fruits

Loaded with apples and oranges this was a very light and refreshing Sangria, hit the spot + it was perfect with burgers and seafood.

Lobster Mac & Cheese

I have never been a fan of mac and cheese (I know I know… quiet in the cheap seats) BUT this I have to say killed it!! Huge chunks of lobster and the creamy perfect combo of cheese and macaroni. The cheese on top which was baked crispy was the best. It comes piping hot in a cast-iron skillet which keeps the mac & cheese hot while you are savoring every bite.

Lobster Croquettes with spicy mayo

This appetizer is a MUST, it was definitely one of the most popular dishes here for a quick & sharing bite! Each Lobster croquette is filled again with loads of lobster and a crunchy texture on the outside with creamy lobster-y goodness on the inside. The spicy mayo has a good chili flavor punch to it, so if you like it spicy, this is the mayo for you!

Lobster Roll Combo

After trying the above-mentioned plates, I didn’t think I could possibly have any more until 2 huge platters were brought to us simultaneously! The Lobster Roll combo pictured here is good for sharing or if you haven’t eaten all day this is an excellent dish for ordering. The bread is made specifically for Burger & Lobster by a Canadian Chef, and let me tell you, it was so perfectly buttered and toasted on the outside, the lobster and cream mix was a splendid blend (not drowning in cream cheese or mayo) – this combo was a pleasure to eat. The buttery creamy butter dill dip was added to heighten the palate. With or without, both ways were immensely good.

The Original Beef Burger & Lobster Combo

No … no … no way! What? This tremendous burger with a 1lb Canadian grilled lobster, shoestring fries and salad – my eyes definitely bigger than my stomach! Who could say NO to this? I love the simplicity of the menu, 2 main (burger & lobster) ingredients but many ways to serve it.

The Original Burger – 6 ounces of Nebraska beef

I just had to show the gigantic size of the burger! It was very satisfying and tasty! All the bread made for the lobster rolls and burger buns are made fresh daily for the entire chain of restaurants, in house.

Mango Madness

My all-time most favorite dessert!! After such an incredible feast of burger and lobster, this mango madness came our way of an alien-looking dessert. We decide to dig in and boy did we gobble it up, thinking we have no more room for dessert, like who really does? BUT THIS ….. it was mango ice-cream, sitting on top of the homemade meringue, then cream, then more chunks of mango then more meringue sticks …. so creative and so perfect after such a heavy dinner!!
